Contribute to the atlas

Verrière catalogues the world's botanical and historic greenhouses, but we are far from knowing them all. Help us fill the gaps: tell us about a greenhouse that is missing, or send a photo to illustrate an entry.

Nothing is published automatically. Every submission is reviewed by hand: for a greenhouse, we check the facts against reliable sources before creating the entry; for a photo, we check the subject, the quality and the licence.

Suggest a greenhouse

A historic, remarkable or publicly accessible greenhouse that is not in the catalogue yet? Tell us where to find it and why it belongs. A link to a reliable source (official site, Wikipedia, heritage register) speeds up verification a lot.

Send a photo

A good photo of a greenhouse in the catalogue (exterior, interior, architectural detail) can illustrate its page. You remain the author: your name is shown under the photo, with the licence you choose.

What we are looking for

Sharp, well-exposed photos of the greenhouse itself, outside or inside (no close-ups of visitors, no watermark or overlaid text).
Only photos you took yourself: we cannot publish someone else's, even if found online.
Images are reviewed, resized if needed and stored without their metadata (GPS location included).

Personal data

What you enter is used only to handle your submission. Your e-mail address is optional; if you give it, it is only used to reply to you and is never published or shared. Your IP address is not stored in clear (an irreversible fingerprint is only used to limit abuse). To have a photo or any data removed, send us a message with the “Suggest a greenhouse” form naming the page concerned (and an e-mail address to receive the answer).
