Privacy policy
Updated on 30 October 2026.
Controller
The publisher of the site (see the legal notice), reachable at contactgreennhouses@proton.me.
What the site does not do
No account, no audience-measurement or advertising cookie, no tracking across sites. Fonts, globe maps and photos are served by the site itself. When you zoom far into a globe, the detailed base map (streets, districts, water) comes from OpenFreeMap (data © OpenStreetMap) but passes through our server, which caches it: your browser does not contact that service, which receives neither your IP address nor the page you are viewing.
Server logs
Like any web server, ours records for each request the IP address, the date, the page requested, the referring page and the browser. These logs are used for security, for the proper running of the site and for overall visitor statistics (number of visits, pages viewed, where visitors come from), with no individual profile. Legal basis: the publisher's legitimate interest in running and securing the site. They are kept for 90 days; after that, only an archive in which visitors' IP addresses are truncated is kept, for at most 400 days.
Contribution forms
Greenhouse suggestions and photo submissions (place name, link, note, photo, name of the author to credit, optional e-mail address) are used to review and, where appropriate, publish the contribution. Accepted photos are published with the chosen credit and licence; rejected photos are deleted. The e-mail address is only used to reply to you, is never published or passed on, and is erased at the latest 12 months after it was sent. The submission service does not keep your IP address in clear: an irreversible fingerprint, held in memory, is only used to limit abuse.
Storage in your browser
The site stores in your browser, without sending them anywhere, your choice of light or dark theme and the fact that you closed the language suggestion.
Third-party services, only if you use them
Partner buttons (GetYourGuide, Viator, Stay22), directions (Google Maps) and the “Other languages” button (Google Translate) take you to these services or load them when you click: their own privacy rules then apply and they may set their own cookies.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, for its correction or erasure, or object to its processing, by writing to contactgreennhouses@proton.me. You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
