« A new pavilion for orchids native to the tropical dry forest of the Cauca valley, a habitat under threat from deforestation. »

Opened to the public in September 2026 after construction began in October 2025, this pavilion showcases orchids native to the tropical dry forest ecosystem of Valle del Cauca, several of them locally endangered. Interpretive trails use educational and technological displays to explain the symbiotic relationships between orchids, fungi and pollinators. The project was funded by the Fundación Harold Eder with support from the Fundación Zoológica de Cali, which has run the botanical garden since it reopened in 2023. The garden now receives around 60,000 visitors a year.
