The Flower Dome holds the Guinness World Record for the largest column-free glasshouse, a structural feat that frees up the floor space to recreate a cool, dry Mediterranean climate. A few meters away, the Cloud Forest conceals an artificial mountain 35 meters high, waterfall included, simulating tropical montane cloud forests. Both domes recycle steam from a nearby power plant for cooling rather than letting it go to waste.
