« A living remnant of the 1999 Horticultural Expo, four climates aligned along the park's monumental axis. »

Built for the 1999 Kunming International Horticultural Exposition, this large 3,630 m² greenhouse faces the park's central entrance and sits on the major landscaped axis linking the main entrance, the grand avenue and Century Square. It is divided into four zones: a tropical section, a temperate section, a space devoted to high-altitude plants, and a photo gallery documenting regional biodiversity. More than a quarter-century after the Exposition, it remains one of the site's enduring attractions, today converted into a permanent public park. Its structure reflects the architectural style typical of major Chinese horticultural expositions of the late 1990s.
