History

Tadao Ando and his office worked on the project from 1995 until the building was completed in 1998.

Architecture

The building, nicknamed "Big Ship", brings curved surfaces together into a simple, sharp form; its fair-faced concrete has a high-quality finish, and it stands out clearly in the town.

Across the road rises the tower of the company's multi-storey car park, which can be seen from National Route 19.

Use today

It houses the Sakashita site of the company Daikoku Denki.

Visiting

This is an office building, to be seen from the outside. There is no parking for visitors.
