History

The building dates from 1979. It stands about 70 m from Kōshienguchi station, in Nishinomiya. It is the work of Tadao Ando (安藤忠雄).

Architecture

The building has a complex structure of crossing stairs and passages, and it cannot be taken in at a single glance. A first-time visitor soon loses track of which floor he is on, hence its nickname, the "labyrinth building" (迷宮ビル).

Visiting

It is entered like any commercial building: you walk its stairs and passages by going to its bars and restaurants.
