In Donald M. Gordon Chinguacousy Park, a 40-hectare municipal park in Brampton, the Greenhouse & Tropical Gardens is a tropical glasshouse that stays warm all year, bordered by outdoor gardens. Photographs show a glazed entrance pavilion with a polygonal hall rising behind it under a pyramid roof of small panes and, inside, a path winding through dense foliage, a stone-edged pool and a glass roof on glazing bars. The City of Brampton lists it among the facilities "open for the season" and mentions a chapel available for private rental.

History
The park began in 1970, when Chinguacousy Township bought a 40-hectare farm, formerly owned by the Crawford family, to create a large park for the growing town of Bramalea; the barn and farmhouse were kept in the redevelopment. Wikipedia says the park is named after Donald M. Gordon, who is credited with helping form Brampton's parks and recreation programs.
A Reddit account named PeelArchives posted photographs from 1984 in March 2024, showing the greenhouse "being prepped for a summer opening". Photographs from December 2007 on Wikimedia Commons show it in use, and the City now lists it among the facilities open for the season, with a chapel available for private events.

Architecture and engineering
The Wikimedia Commons photographs (2007, 2017, 2022) show a glazed complex of several volumes. The main entrance is a glass-walled pavilion with a glazed roof, under a canopy bearing the sign "Welcome to the Tropical Gardens". Behind it rises a large polygonal volume under a pyramid roof of small glass panes, topped by a small lantern. Lower wings with glazed roofs extend to the side and rear; one has an entrance marked "Welcome to the Wedding Chapel".
Inside, a 2022 photograph shows a roof of glass on glazing bars above a paved path with a wooden railing, a stone-edged pool and dense tropical foliage. OpenStreetMap traces the building ("Chinguacousy Park Tropical Gardens", one level) over roughly 700 m² of footprint.

Plant collections
A visitor blog (April 2025) describes dense tropical foliage ("lush tropical plants"), a collection of succulents and fountains. A 2024 blog post, illustrated with photographs from 2020, adds that the greenhouse, officially called "The Tropical Garden", stays warm all year. Outside, the 2017 photographs show flower beds around the entrance pavilion, and Wikipedia lists formal gardens among the park's facilities.
Wikimedia Commons holds a photograph taken inside in 2012 of a Kwakiutl statue, and a backlit leaf photographed in December 2007: the greenhouse has therefore been visited and photographed since at least 2007.
Visiting
The greenhouse stands in the central part of the park, at 9050 Bramalea Road (Central Park Drive and Queen Street East). A 2025 visitor blog describes it as a quiet, free place with plenty of parking, suited to a stroll and photographs. Daily hours are 12 to 3 p.m. per the City, and a City notice reports a labour disruption (CUPE Local 831) affecting some services and hours, so checking before travelling is wise.
The visit combines with the park's formal gardens, the Mini Moo Farm miniature farm, open for the season according to the City, and the Crawford House, recorded as a historic building dated 1925 on OpenStreetMap. Several park facilities (mini golf, paddle boats) were closed for the season on the date of consultation, in October 2026.
