In 2006 the fashion designer Hiroko Koshino (コシノヒロコ) called on Tadao Ando again, who had designed her house in Ashiya in 1981, to rework the bedroom wing on the south side: it became an independent two-storey guest house. Since 2013 the house has been the art gallery KH Gallery Ashiya, open by reservation.

History
Tadao Ando had completed the Ashiya home of the fashion designer Hiroko Koshino, Koshino House (小篠邸), in 1981, and had added a wing with a curved wall on its north side in 1984. In 2006 Hiroko Koshino turned to him again to rework the bedroom wing. After living in the house for some thirty years, she converted it into an art gallery in 2013, with Ando's help.
Architecture
The work concerns the south wing of the house, which originally lined up six bedrooms. Ando reworked it thoroughly to turn it into a two-storey guest house, completely independent of the rest of the house.
Use today
Since 2013 the house has been KH Gallery Ashiya, which shows Hiroko Koshino's works by season and theme.
Visiting
The house can be visited as a gallery, by reservation through the gallery's website, on Thursdays and Fridays from 12:30 to 16:00, outside the winter closure.
