Beneath it, a complete tropical rainforest ecosystem is recreated, with its canopy, lianas and layered plant communities, right in the middle of Taichung's dense urban fabric. The surrounding botanical garden covers 4.5 hectares, pairing this main greenhouse with outdoor areas devoted to local flora.
