Opened in 1983 in downtown Fort Wayne, this municipal conservatory arranges its collections into several themed indoor gardens, including a humid tropical section and a desert garden with 72 cactus varieties. Its 2,300 m² seasonal "showcase garden" changes its display several times a year, from winter displays to spring exhibitions. The whole site covers about 9,300 m² and holds more than 1,200 plants belonging to 502 different species. It is one of the few large public conservatories in Indiana.
