This church by Tadao Ando, in a residential district of Tokyo, is laid out on an isosceles triangle, 12 m wide at its base and narrowing to a 30-degree point. Daylight comes in through a narrow slit at that point and through triangular openings cut into the side walls. Completed in 2014, it belongs to a congregation founded in 2012 as the 21st Century Christ Church, which receives visitors on Fridays by reservation.

History
The congregation that occupies the church was founded in 2012 as the 21st Century Christ Church; it changed its name in September 2023.
Its church in Hiroo is a work by Tadao Ando, completed in 2014 in a residential district of Shibuya ward, in Tokyo.
Architecture
The plan is an isosceles triangle with a 12 m base and a 30-degree apex angle. The church has a main chapel and a small chapel. Natural light enters through a slit-like opening at the point of the triangle and through triangular openings in the sides.
Use today
It is a working church: two services are held every Sunday, open to everyone, and first-time visitors are welcome, with no obligation to become members.
Visiting
The building can be visited on Fridays, except public holidays, from 2 pm to 3 pm, only by prior reservation by email with the church; a visit may be cancelled if the church has an event that day. You can also come to one of the Sunday services, from 9 am to 10 am or from 11 am to 12.30 pm. Photographs of the building are allowed, provided the neighbours are not disturbed.
The church has no car park and asks visitors not to come by car. It is reached on foot from Hiroo station, along the shopping street and then a lane. Hiroo has many churches: this one should not be confused with the Hiroo Church of the United Church of Christ in Japan, whose name is similar.
