Opened to the public on November 7, 1915, the Como Park conservatory was designed by Frederick Nussbaumer to replace nine greenhouses that had become too small. Delivered prefabricated by train from New York, the structure features a central dome 30 meters wide rising to 22 meters, flanked by curved wings, for a total of 5,574 m². Renamed in 2002 in honor of Marjorie McNeely, it today houses a Japanese garden, a palm court and seasonal flower shows, free to visit year-round.
