Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
- Year

- Style
- Modernist cylindrical glass tube greenhouse
The centerpiece of the Myriad Botanical Gardens, which opened in 1988 right in downtown Oklahoma City, the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory takes the unusual form of a long cylindrical glass tube spanning a section of the park. Inside, two biomes mirror each other: a humid rainforest and a desert environment, separated by a suspended walkway offering a sweeping view over the canopy. After several years of deterioration, the building underwent major renovation work before reopening to the public. It remains one of the most recognizable architectural landmarks in downtown Oklahoma City.
